CELPIP writing Sample for Email and Survey for high bands

Email

You live across from an elementary school where a construction team is working outside. You notice that the construction site does not have a safety fence around it and that it is too noisy during class. You are worried about children getting hurt after school or having difficulty learning in class.
Write an email to the construction company. Your email should do the following things:
Describe what you have seen
Explain why you are worried
Suggest how they could work more safely

Dear Mr. Jones,
My name is Elisa and I live across the street from Cloverdale Elementary School, King George, Surrey. Your construction team is working right outside the school, repairing the structure adjacent to it. I wish to draw your kind attention to my observation made regarding the inadequate safety measures at the site.
To elaborate, there is no safety fence at the site. I fear that the school children may wander into the area either unknowingly or out of sheer curiosity; thus putting their health and safety at risk. I request that the construction area must be surrounded by strong fence. Additionally, a dedicated person should guard the area to ensure that the children do not loiter there. Isn’t the safety and security of everyone, especially children, a primary concern for an esteemed construction company like yours?
Another thing that cannot go unnoticed is the noise in the vicinity, that the construction activities create which interferes with the learning and concentration of the students. I suggest that the workers should refrain from shouting instructions around and restrict the usage of noisy machinery to after-school hours.
I hope that you will consider my suggestions. Afterall, prevention is better than cure. Should you need to talk about it further, my phone no. is 234-567-8900.
I look forward to your positive response on the matter.
Regards,
Elisa

Survey-

The city council is considering two empty sites as possible places to build a new airport. All residents are being asked to complete an opinion survey. One is in the downtown area and the other is 10 km away from the city centre.
Choose the option that you prefer. Why do you prefer your choice? Explain the reasons for your choice. Write about 150-200 words.
Option A: I think the airport should be built in the downtown area.
Option B: I think the airport should be built far from the downtown area.

Though both the options have their advantages, in my opinion Option B will prove to be more sustainable in the long term.
My point of view stems primarily from the current traffic scenario in our city. Since most of the businesses are based in downtown, the roads are choc-o-block during rush hour. And being a commercial hub, downtown has a constant traffic flow even during rest of the day. As a cumulative effect, the travel time to downtown has increased greatly and traffic moves at a snail’s pace in the area. In case the airport is built there, the infrastructure will not be able to handle the vehicular traffic making it frustrating for travelers and city dwellers alike.
Coupled with this is the issue of birds in downtown. Due to close proximity to water and surplus availability of food , there are numerous birds flying birds in downtown area. This can cause serious hazard for the aircrafts.
Conversely, though the airport at downtown will boost businesses there, the inconvenience and safety risks associated therewith clearly outweigh the commercial aspect. How can a commercial and residential area be worth living if there is so much rush and noise around ?
Thus, I believe that Option B is not only futuristic in its approach but also practical and convenient.
