Email –
You have borrowed money from your bank. You agreed to repay a fixed amount every month. However, it will be difficult to pay any money back this month.
Write an email to the bank in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things:
State the amount of money you borrowed and the repayment schedule.
Explain why you borrowed the money.
Explain the reason you cannot pay any money this month and why you will be able to pay next month.
Dear Sir,
I am Rieta Wells, holder of Current Account No. 12345 at your Bank and I availed a loan facility in January 2022. It amounts to $1,20,000 for a 5-year duration @ 8.75% interest per-annum. The monthly instalment payable by me is $6500.
I had borrowed the amount for business purposes. My work consists of selling local handicraft items to overseas buyers. On supply of the goods at the buyers’ port-of-entry, money is released from their Escrow account.
However, this month I am unable to pay as the ship carrying my goods has got stuck at the Suez Canal due to a traffic hazard. This has delayed the release of money from the buyers’ accounts. Though the problem will be sorted soon, it will take some time before the products reach the foreign shores and payment is released to me.
Hence, I will be able to pay this month’s instalment next month. This is an unprecedented situation and I hope you will support me as I have always repaid all my dues timely.
You may contact me at 3216544987 in case of any further information. I look forward to your early response on the matter.
Regards,
Rieta Wells
Survey –
Your company has extra money to spend on office upgrades. Your boss wants to build 5 additional parking spaces for the employees. One of your co-workers, though, suggests building 30 bike stands to promote a healthy lifestyle instead. The company asked you to respond to an opinion survey.
Choose the option that you prefer. Why do you prefer your choice? Explain the reasons for your choice. Write about 150-200 words.
Option A: I would prefer to have more parking spaces.
Option B: I would prefer to have more bike stands.
In my view, it would be very much more beneficial for everyone if the company builds additional car parking spaces instead of bike stands.
At the outset, though cycling to office is a healthy option, how many of us would actually do it. People travel from all corners of the city by cars to reach the office. Except for a handful of employees who stay nearby, most of the employees bring their own cars everyday.
In addition to it, the energy spent on cycling from such distances can be very exhausting A worn out employee may not be a very productive one.
Last but not the least, during winter months cycling to office would be absolutely impractical. Who would want to wade through tons of snow on a bike with icy-cold winds blowing ? It would be a complete health hazard. For example, last year all the bike stands were lying unused throughout winter while many employees were found looking for car parking here and there
Conversely, if a bike stand is built up, the parking problem will still persist.
Hence, I think building extra spaces for parking will be more useful than having bike stands.
