The number of elderly people in Canada is increasing. The government should provide more support and healthcare services for seniors.
Dear Editor,
My name is Ana. As a healthcare worker myself, I feel really concerned regarding the increasing population of seniors. And I wish to express my views on whether the government should manage free healthcare services to all the seniors. I found this topic very sensitive and I would like to share my viewpoints and suggestions. I strongly concede that the government should provide more support and healthcare services for seniors, as this is a serious issue that affects many families and communities.
First of all, as people live longer, the demand for healthcare services increases. Many seniors have chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, and then frequently need checkups, medications, and assistance. Having free facilities, seniors would be able to maintain their health and independence while reducing hospital admissions.
Furthermore, improving long term facilities and availability of healthcare professionals would also benefit many families. Most of the kith and kin of seniors are struggling to balance between work and caregiving responsibilities. Government support would not only improve senior’s quality of life but also make more job opportunities and help to increase the economy of the country.
In conclusion, I believe that providing more healthcare services for elderly people is essential. They have contributed to society and paid taxes for many years. Now it is their right to get it back, and it is our responsibility to ensure they receive the care they deserve. Thank you for highlighting this important issue. I would appreciate any updates regarding this matter.
Best regards,
Ana Gomes
