IELTS General Writing sample for Task 1 & 2 for 7 bands

Task 1 (Letter) –

You have forgotten a package at the bus stop. Write a letter to the bus stop authorities. You should say:

– What that package was?
– Where you could have forgotten it?
– Ask where you can collect it from?

Dear Sir,

I am Anna, a resident of Unit 12, 23rd Avenue, Surrey. I am writing to inquire about a package which I believe I had left at bus stop no. 234 yesterday. The package is a rectangular cardboard box that weighs approximately 7 to 8 kilograms. It is wrapped in brown paper and secured with a clear tape. Unfortunately, it does not have my personal information on it for you to contact me.

I believe I left it at the bus stop near Surrey Central Station at around 2 o’clock in the afternoon. While waiting for bus no. 321 in front of the shopping mall, it is possible I left the package on the bench when I boarded the bus. The package contains my diploma, transcripts, and other certificates, which I had received from my college yesterday only. This is very important to me, as I spent one and a half year earning these credentials.

Could you please check if such a package has been found? If so, I would be grateful if you could inform me when and from where I can collect it. You can contact me at 672-833-8633, or by email at taqdeergrewal18633@gmail.com. I can provide further identification or proof of ownership if required.

Thank you once again. I look forward to hear from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Anna
